Deep clean your LVT floor with James Basic Cleaner

You mop the floor, let it dry, and yet a spot is still visible. The floor looks less matte in that area, there seems to be a greasy film on the surface, or the dirt simply won't come off with regular cleaning.

It's time for a deeper clean. With James Basic Cleaner, you can tackle built up dirt and grime that regular mopping can no longer remove.

When is regular mopping no longer enough?

Maintaining your LVT floor usually requires very little effort. Vacuuming and damp mopping are often enough to remove everyday dirt, dust, and footprints.

Sometimes, however, dirt remains on the floor. For example, you might notice an area that still looks shinier or darker than the rest of the floor after mopping. Or part of the floor may no longer have the same beautiful matte finish it had when it was new. In these situations, a deeper clean with James Basic Cleaner may be necessary.

Which James cleaner do you need?

Not every type of dirt or stain requires the same cleaning method. For regular maintenance, use James Floor Cleaner. If you're dealing with a specific stubborn stain, such as paint or ink, use James Remover.

James Basic Cleaner is designed for deep cleaning when regular cleaning is no longer enough. For heavily soiled floors, the Basic Cleaner can be used undiluted.

How to use James Basic Cleaner: Step by step

Is a heavily soiled area still visible? You can use James Basic Cleaner to treat that specific spot.

  1. Apply the Basic Cleaner. Apply a small amount of undiluted James Basic Cleaner directly to the soiled area.
  2. Spread the cleaner with a wet cloth. Use a wet cloth to distribute the cleaner evenly over the affected area.
  3. Keep the area wet for 10 minutes. Allow the Basic Cleaner to work for about 10 minutes. Make sure the area stays wet during this time.
  4. Wipe the floor with clean water. Use a clean, wet cloth to thoroughly remove the cleaner and loosened dirt.
  5. Repeat if necessary. If the dirt has not been completely removed, repeat the treatment.
  6. Dry the area. Finally, wipe the surface dry. This will help you see whether the dirt has been completely removed.

Why those 10 minutes are so important

When dealing with stubborn dirt, your first instinct might be to scrub harder. But with this cleaning method, the key is giving the product enough time to work. By keeping the James Basic Cleaner wet for about 10 minutes, you allow it to loosen the built up dirt. Afterward, wipe away the dirt and cleaner with a clean, wet cloth. This takes a little more patience than regular mopping, but that extra step may be necessary to remove accumulated dirt and grime.

Don't use stronger cleaning products than necessary

Deep cleaning isn't necessary for every crumb, footprint, or small stain.

For everyday maintenance, simply use the floor cleaner. For stubborn stains in specific areas, such as paint or ink, use the remover. If dirt can no longer be removed with regular cleaning or part of your floor looks less matte, it's time to use James Basic Cleaner. This way, you only use a more intensive cleaning method when it's really necessary.
